Implementation Evaluation Control

The first year when dealing with a new product is very important, it tasks a lot of steps and planning to make sure everything that the company is doing is beneficial to the product. “For effective implementation and control, the marketing plan should define how progress toward objectives would be measured. ". (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. MP2) Each month each department that helps produce Red Riot Vodka will have to see how out sales are going what days are good, how people are responding to this product, and much more. "Marketers start planning well in advance of the implementation date to allow time for marketing research, thorough analysis, management review, and coordination between departments. (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. MP2) Each department that helps create our brand of vodka will have to continue to do research while we try to keep sales high in the first year. No only so the product will succeed but so we can have that business to consumer relationship with all of are costumers. We want to make sure that are Vodka makes the costumers feel satisfied and feel like their needs have been catered to. “Then, after each action program begins, marketers monitor ongoing results, compare them with projections, analyze any differences, and take corrective steps as needed." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. MP2) After we compare all of results on how our Vodka is doing then we will be able to predict strategies and new market plans for the next year. Maybe even come out with another flavor of our Vodka!

Price

Red Riot is going to have a nice affordable price with great quality since"Today’s squeezed consumers are seeking greater value—just the right combination of good quality and service at a fair price." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 95). This product will cost $20.98. This price makes it affordable for anyone and it tastes good so it is worth all 20 dollars and 98 cents. "Good pricing begins with a complete understanding of the value that a product or service creates for customers and setting a price that captures that value." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg.304) this is a great price because the quality of this vodka is great and with the jello inside you longer have to take the time to make jello shots so this is very affordable. Just so you can save your time!

Promotion

Red Riot will have nice fun advertising that really speaks towards just turning 21 to 30s crowd."Business-to-consumer companies usually “pull” more, putting more of their funds into advertising, followed by sales promotion, personal selling, and then PR."(Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 385) We will have a twitter page that will tell you about all the clubs that hold our Vodka, just so you can have a good time. There will be advertising in magazines which is were our very first ads will take place. The main way of promotion is to promote that Red Riot Vodka will save your time! Giving you more time to enjoy yourself with friends and family wherever you might be.  "Marketers can choose from two basic promotion mix strategies—push promotion or pull promotion." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 384) We have a pull promotion strategy we want to pull in are costumers. Red Riot feels that you should feel wanted by are brand, just like family. So if you believe are Vodka suites you then go to a local grocery store and buy a bottle!

Distribution

Red Riot will be distributed only in the United States for now. Since "Few companies have the confidence, capital, and capacity to launch new products into full national or international distribution right away. Instead, they develop a planned market rollout over time." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 253) we want to be smart and see how our Vodka is bought first. "It enters new market segments and new distribution channels."(Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 262) Our Vodka will be sold in grocery stores since the Vodka needs to remain cold. It will also be held in certain liquor store that contain fridges or cold liquor areas. We will give every store 50 bottle to start off with to see how sales go. Then once we understand are market more will be distributed.

Product

Our product is much more then a drink, "Products include more than just tangible objects, such as cars, computers, or cell phones. Broadly defined, “products” also include services, events, persons, places, organizations, ideas, or mixes of these." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 209) and product is a variety of these things. Our product is made to satisfy each and everyone of our costumers. "We define a product as anything that can be offered to a market for attention, acquisition, use, or consumption that might satisfy a want or need." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 209) our product is wanted and we give a great service with each bottle. Red Riot can be used for parties, family gathering, and much more. All you have to do is go buy your bottle of Red Riot and use it to your likings.

Target Market Strategy

We have a very unique marketing system, "With its marketing strategy decided, the company now constructs an integrated marketing program—consisting of a blend of the four marketing mix elements, or the four Ps—that transforms the marketing strategy into real value for customers." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 31) when aim towards ladies start at the age of 21 to 30. "Perhaps the most important step in the marketing process involves building value-laden, profitable relationships with target customers." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 31) and buy targeting this specific group we also draw in other costumers. Our drink is cherry flavored and we understand that most males probably wouldn't drink this beverage because it is fruity. It is still welcomed to the men that do like fruity drinks though. We know that by targeting women we can attract men because a guy might buy a bottle of this drink for his wife or girlfriend. Especially since it is very affordable for any kind of household.

Situation or SWOT Analysis

"The marketer should conduct a SWOT Analysis, by which it evaluates the company’s overall strengths (S), weaknesses (W), opportunities (O), and threats (T)." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 55) Red Riot has lots of strengths there aren't many vodka company's with the same product as ours. We also have so weakness but because of are strengths, we have a lot of opportunities. We have the opportunity to market our product and show it's unique qualities. By having our unique qualities when can have the treats of other company's coming out with a similar product and just changing the name. That would very bad for our company since we are bringing a new product into the market."The goal is to match the company’s strengths to attractive opportunities in the environment, while eliminating or overcoming the weaknesses and minimizing the threats." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 56) are main goal is to save people time when planing a party and that is a strength in our company since we care about our costumers time. By growing this relationships with the costumers and showing that we care this lowers the threats because we are building a business and costumer kind of relationship. Which is very important to have. An with these relationships we will have more opportunities.

Objectives

"The company’s strategic plan establishes what kinds of businesses the company will operate and its objectives for each." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 47) Red Riot has one main plan and that is to satisfy our costumers. "The mission is then transformed into detailed supporting goals and objectives, which in turn guide decisions about the business portfolio." (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 461) We have made our Vodka affordable to anyone and it has very good quality. Which means that every dollar you spend on Red Riot is a great deal.  We always plan to save are customers time so when it comes to planning you can just count on Red Riot for a helping hand. That means here at Red Riot the main is to help our costumers.

Week 10 EOC : Business Mission Statement

"Forging a sound mission begins with the following questions: What is our business? Who is the customer? What do consumers value? What should our business be?" (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 39) Red Riot Vodkas mission is to send your taste buds on a riot for more. With the hint of sweetened cherry jello and the strong smooth taste of the vodka. This will be an experience like no other with fresh water and wheat grains that are meant to satisfy our costumers with every sip. "A clear mission statement acts as an “invisible hand” that guides people in the organization.(Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing, Armstrong & Kotler (2011), pg. 39) Red Riot Vodka is for someone who likes a nice natural fruit taste in their Vodka and people that like to party and have a good time. So save time preparing and spend more time partying!

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

A lot of networking and job hunting can now be done through social networking. “More companies are trying to tap Facebook Inc.'s 750-million-plus user base to find new employees, threatening traditional job boards and competing with LinkedIn Corp., which has dominated the online professional networking arena.” http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111903885604576490763... I think this isn’t a very good think but then again with today's technology it makes it easy and useful. Since a lot of people need to learn how to work the internet and become accustom to it seeing that it is they new way to do things through social networking. You can read in the Market book how it is so easy to be able to do things with the things that are available to us now. “But these days, thanks to modern technology, armed with little more than a video camera, laptop, and a cell phone, anyone can spread the word about products and brand experiences to thousands, even millions, of other consumers.” Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 143 this shows why job hunting and hiring is done through the social networking. Companies can get all of their information out to people on Facebook page, their websites, and put an ad to say they are hiring and others will be able to easily see this and start applying. For example the Sony Company has online applicants for the job hunters on the internet, “Out of 2,000 or more online applicants, Sony picked only 25 brand ambassadors. The ambassadors were given a free camera and other equipment along with lessons on how to use them.” Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 143 this is a new way for job hunting and applying for the jobs on the internet and still staying up to date with the technology. But by us doing this we might lose the original paper and pen professional ways for job hunting and applying.

Week 5 EOC : Me x 3

I tend to be a very cold person so I own a lot of beanies. Since they say all the heat comes from your head, feet, and hands. Most of the time I have to get the beanies with my own money because my parents think they're silly. I bought this care bear beanie at Spencer's and I absolutely love it! There are a few reasons that I bought it. Firstly I really love the color blue, it's my favorite color. Secondly, I've always loved the care bears and just bears in general since I'm a very loving person. My Mother even calls me Sette bears since I love bears.

I always have to buy headphones because I used them so much and one of the ear buds will go out. These headphones say a lot about me for one I love music. I can't go a day without listening to some for of music it's my passion. As I said before blue is my favorite color and most of my favorite things are blue. Also I think this can say show that I'm a very conservative person because with these headphones it's just me and myself. No one else can bother me when my music is on.

This is a hippie hobo sling bag I have recently bought myself two of these. I believe this bag shows that I am I very peaceful person and down to earth. You can see this from the colors of the bag they are earth tone colors. Also all the peace signs on the bag portray this message. Another thing this says about me is I am not really in to designer bags and all those other fancy things. I like to be simple and nice but I am also very cheap when it comes to spending my money.

Week 4 EOC : B to B vs. Consumer Marketing

Business to business marketing compared to consumer marketing is very different depending on what aspects of it you look at. When you sell to businesses you only need to sale to a few big ones. Take GE for example, “In its business markets, rather than selling to large numbers of small buyers, GE sells to a few very large buyers.” Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 158 Because when you are trying to sell a product you want it to be at a big businesses that will bring in the costumers to buy your product. So the business consumer is endorsing your product, “Whereas it might be disappointing when a refrigerator buyer chooses a competing brand, losing a single sale to a large business customer can mean the loss of hundreds of millions of dollars in business.” Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 158, which means if you don’t have that business-to-business marketing advantage not many consumers would buy your products. The big difference in my opinion is that business-to-business marketing is more important! If you don’t market with other businesses you can lose a lot of money, which was explained in the quote before. As to the consumer marketing market you would just lose a little bit of money, which is a lot better then millions of dollars. These two markets are similar in one way though because “At a general level, marketing medical imaging technology or diesel locomotives to business customers is like selling refrigerators to final buyers. It requires a deep-down understanding of customer needs and customer-driven marketing strategies that create superior customer value.”  Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 158 as stated in the quote above either way you are selling your product to someone. Whether it’s to a big business or a regular customer looking for something to put in there home. A sale is a sale

Week 4 BOC : There's An App For That

I've recently designed a new app called “Music Lovers”! With this new app you can find any song, genre, or artist and get background of the song. Doesn’t matter what time period the song may be from, even if the song is 50 years old you will be able to find it. Also with this app you can learn the history of the songs! Like how the composer came up with the lyrics and much more. Were they sitting on a bus or getting ready to sky dive and then the lyrics just came to mind. Another great feature is the genres. Many people don’t know how each genre came about but this app will give you the knowledge you desire. Instead of having to Google all the information about a song you want. It is all bundled up into one app. There is also a plugin that will let you listen to the song with out having to download it. Or you can download it if you would like it just depends on your preferences. But I know me personally I love this new app since I myself am a “Music Lover”. So to all you music lovers out there I hope you enjoy it!

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

My demographic group is the Millennials (also called Generation Y or the echo boomers). "Born between 1977 and 2000, these children of the baby boomers number 83 million, dwarfing the Gen Xers and larger even than the baby boomer segment. This group includes several age cohorts: tweens (aged 9–12), teens (13–18), and young adults (19–32). With total purchasing power of more than $733 billion, the Millennials make up a huge and attractive market." Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 73 “One thing that all of the Millennials have in common is their utter fluency and comfort with digital technology. They don’t just embrace technology, it’s a way of life.” Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 74 I would have to agree with the details of this demographic group description because technology is a very important part of my life. I wouldn't be posting this blog without it! Everyday I use my cellphone, I will flip out if I don’t have it will me and I’m always on the computer. Plus technology is all around now days since everything is evolving. “According to another study, 77 percent of Millennials frequent social networking sites and 71 percent use instant messaging. “All generations are comfortable with technology, but this is the generation that’s been formed by technology,” says a Yahoo! Executive. For them, “it’s not something separate. It’s just something they do.”” Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation pg. 74. I would have to agree with this statement because I’m always on a social networking site! It’s just something I can always remember doing and it’s a fun way to chat with my friends. Plus no one wants to be the only person not using the new way to socialize with others. Especially when everyone else is using it.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

There are many new companies that are starting to have a "Buy one, Give one" policy. Blanket America collection said “When consumers buy from Blanket America, not only are they generating automatic donations, but supporting our larger commitment to ending extreme poverty. For every Blanket America product sold, we make a donation.” http://www.blanketamerica.com/ which is very nice. Not only are you getting a blanket for yourself; you are helping to donate a blanket to someone that may really need it. So they can stay warm and maybe even sleep better at night. Doesn't that sound nice? Blanket America Collection also gives help with other areas. Such as, “In addition to domestic giving, Blanket America has provided disaster relief to Haiti with blanket donations, and created jobs with your demand for our Choose Haiti line of products.” http://www.blanketamerica.com/ being able to help provide jobs is a big deal. Especially after a huge disaster everyone is out of work. By them helping to provide jobs people will be able to get back on their feet again! Maybe they can even help others that need help just like them. “They believe that although charity begins at home, it doesn’t end there. Help make a difference for someone in need by purchasing your linens and other supplies through Blanket America’s one for one program.” http://shopwithmeaning.org/2011/12/blanket-america-one-for-one-blankets-that-warm-your-heart-and-your-neighbor/ So splurging and getting you own things that you want and need you will be able to help many people. I personally think that is very nice. If I were in a situation where I didn’t have certain things I would be very thankful for programs like this. The best part about Blanket America Collection is that you can buy anything and they will provide it someone that needs it. Which means you don’t just have to buy a blanket to help someone out, you can buy anything from them and still help out!

Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games

The video game market is at a rapid paste. NY Times recently said “More than 200 million Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems were sold worldwide. Sales of portable gaming machines surged as well.“ http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/07/arts/video-games/video-game-retail-sales-decline-despite-new-hits.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
Although some of these game consoles are making good sales in the market. Some of the other ones would be considered low in market growth rate and relative market share because they aren't wanted as much the other game consoles. The Xbox 360, Wii, hand held games, and computer have been falling in the market since the hot new thing to have; which is a star in our market are mobile devices and tablets. “Instead of firing up her PlayStation or Nintendo Wii, the 27-year-old patent lawyer whips out her iPhone for instant access to her own portable arcade.”
http://www.boston.com/business/innovation/2012/11/01/mobile-apps-upending-video-game-industry/UnPw0t2ZBnyLJ83Iz6uHjK/story.html
It's on the go and you can play it any time while still being connected with everything else. This is much easier than trying to carry a big Xbox 360 or PS3 gaming system around with you. There are going to be some new consoles in the future to hopefully boost their video game market.
You can even ask DFC Intelligence analyst David Cole as he told Forbes. ““New console systems from Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony are expected to help the console segment regain some momentum in the 2014 to 2015 timeframe,” said DFC Intelligence analyst David Cole. “However, the steadiest area of growth is on the PC and mobile side.””
http://www.forbes.com/sites/johngaudiosi/2012/07/18/new-reports-forecasts-global-video-game-industry-will-reach-82-billion-by-2017/
The only problem with these new consoles is that they are a question mark in the video game market. So even it will really depend on how they market and advertise their new products to see how good they will sell. The big cash-cow in the market is the PS3 since they're always coming out with new games and they stay consistent. And everyone one loves something that they can keep up with and seems interesting!
